A dialogue lesson on the present perfect and past simple tenses. Mr. Wood goes to the garage to collect his car, but the attendant says the mechanics are still working on it. In the garage they discover Mr. Wood's car has crashed into a lamp-post — the attendant tells him that he needs a new car. Workbook practice covers a fill-in-the-blank dialogue and a vocabulary exercise. Grammar exercises practise past tense/past participle forms, asking and answering 'Have you done it yet?' questions, answering 'Have they stopped?' questions, and completing dialogues with present-perfect questions and past-simple answers.
