BOOK ONE · LESSON 083
Going on holiday
度假
A dialogue lesson on the present perfect tense (have/has + past participle). Carol and Tom are having lunch; they offer Sam lunch and coffee, but he has already had both. In the living room they are packing their suitcases because they are going to leave tomorrow to have a holiday. Sam says he has already had his holiday this year — he stayed at home. Workbook practice covers comprehension questions and a fill-in exercise with home/school/holiday phrases. Grammar exercises build present-perfect dialogues and rewrite 'want to have' sentences as 'haven't had' explanations.
