BOOK ONE · LESSON 093
Our new neighbour
我们的新邻居
A monologue lesson about Nigel, a pilot who is the family's new next-door neighbour. He was in the Royal Air Force, is only forty-one years old, and has already been to nearly every country in the world. He is currently in Madrid, will fly to New York next month, and Tokyo the month after next, and will return to London the week after next. Nigel is described as a very lucky man, but his wife isn't very lucky because she usually stays at home. New vocabulary includes pilot, return, New York, Tokyo, Madrid, and fly. Workbook practice covers answering comprehension questions about the text and matching cities with countries before writing sentences about Nigel's travels. Grammar exercises practise asking and answering questions with shall/will using given cues, and completing dialogues using the cues given.
