BOOK ONE · LESSON 131
Don't be so sure! 别那么肯定!
别那么肯定!
A dialogue lesson in which Martin asks Gary where he is going to spend his holidays and Gary explains that he can't make up his mind — his wife always worries too much, and in the end they stay at home and look after everything. The story introduces the modal verbs for possibility: 'may be/do' (present or future possibility), 'may have been/done' (past possibility), and 'might' (a less certain possibility than may). The workbook drills comprehension of the dialogue by completing it with the missing words and matching verbs with their partners; the grammar workbook completes blanks with 'may be/do' or 'may have been/done', answers questions with 'may' according to an example, and answers questions with 'may have …' according to an example.
