BOOK ONE · LESSON 125
Tea for two 两个人一起喝茶
两个人一起喝茶
A dialogue between Susan and Peter. Susan invites Peter in for tea, but he must water the garden first because it's terribly dry. After a few minutes, Peter comes in and Susan notices it's raining, which means he doesn't need to water the garden. Peter says it's a pleasant surprise because now he can have tea instead. The lesson introduces 'have to' and 'had to', and the words water, terribly, dry, nuisance, mean and surprise.
